Brilliant tool
I bought this item for my partner who amazingly required a Swedish fid for het Basket weaving. Yes it can be used for other things. I personally use it for undertaking rope workings that I use in bushcraft. Not only good for seafarers. Ropes Direct has supplied me with many different ropes for use on my canoe and also for my Tipi. Bought this when I ordered some 12mm Manila rope to make my own fenders for my boat. The description on the website says it’s good enough for ropes up to 16mm dia? I struggled with 12mm so I wish I had bought the large fid. in my opinion this would be ok for ropes up to 10mm. Apart from that it’s a nice tool and delivery was exceptionally quick.Graham (Aug 30 2020, 10:06 am)
