8mm Manila Rope sold in a 220 metre coil

Our manufacturer has labelled this rope as 8mm but we measure the actual diameter at about 9mm. It is important to read our Q&A page regarding possible shrinkage and actual rope diameters.

This Manila Rope has been manufactured in The Philippines and conforms to EN ISO 1181 – 2004. Whilst not test-certificated the 8mm has an approximate Minimum Breaking Load of 500kg.

Manila is a good strong traditional natural rope that is especially resistant to sunlight and stretches very little. It is ideal for use in the garden and being natural it complements planting and timber work. Uses include handrails, fencing, lawn & deck edging, swing & climbing ropes, rose & pergola swags.
