Returns

Returns are by prior agreement

  • Please email us in the first instance with your details and the product you wish to return.
     
  • We can only consider items that have been sold within the last 30 days and in perfect (re-saleable) condition.
     
  • We regret we cannot accept items that were cut to length (sold by the metre) or were modified (custom-made), for example a splice.
     
  • Upon safe receipt at our premises and inspection for condition, a refund will be made for the purchase price of the individual item less a 15% re-stocking fee. (If ordering a replacement product we usually waive the re-stocking fee).
     
  • Delivery charges will not be refunded.

Description

Polished Brass End Hook for use with 28mm diameter rope, complete with a cross screw to secure the rope in place. Overall length 105mm.

This Hook enhances the appearance of your rope and also helps to prolong its life - it can be used with our matching eye plates and other fittings

Whilst it is most suited to use with a 28mm rope, it will fit slightly smaller diameters. We would suggest wrapping the end of the rope tightly with tape to build it up to a snug fit.

When used with a natural fibre rope (especially manila) you should consider using a fitting size up from the rope. Natural fibre ropes can sometimes measure generously.

A good quality fitting

This provides a smart finish to a rope used as a handrail into the studio in conjunction with the brass eye ring. I didn’t think until I’d got the securing bolt through the rope that it would have been a lot easier if I’d heated up a nail first and pushed it through the polypropylene rope to create a hole.

First class experience from start to finish! One weekend I had a little project in my mind's eye for my garden with posts, solar lights and ropes, but I know nothing about ropes. I did a bit of research and found the Ropes Direct website clear and helpful, however I baulked a bit about cutting the rope and adding hooks myself (the video showed the use of a blowtorch). I sent an online query and less than 20 minutes after opening for business on the Monday I had a detailed quote, and an offer to cut the rope and fit the hooks for a very reasonable charge. I also received valuable advice about the "drape" I required. Within 24 hours the ropes, hooks and eyes were delivered!
