Our 2mm Burnt Orange Polypropylene Multicord is a soft, flexible and versatile braided cord supplied on a handy 200m reel.

Its 16-plait multifilament construction has no central core, giving you a smooth, flexible cord that is easy to handle and knot.

It floats on water and has good UV and abrasion resistance, making it a useful all-round cord for indoor and outdoor jobs.

Delivery and Shipping

We operate a very quick turnaround, from the moment you place an order to getting it on board a fast and reliable courier service. They deliver direct to your home or workplace.

NEXT WORKING DAY: Customers in mainland UK (excluding Islands and Scottish Highlands) will usually enjoy next working day delivery on orders placed before midday. When it is really busy the delivery timescale might be 1-2 working days. For heavy items
(over 30kg) the delivery can take a little longer.

COLLECT FROM WAREHOUSE. Order online, choose the collect delivery option and we will email you when ready. Usually within 24 hours.

Returns

Returns are by prior agreement

  • Please email us in the first instance with your details and the product you wish to return.
     
  • We can only consider items that have been sold within the last 30 days and in perfect (re-saleable) condition.
     
  • We regret we cannot accept items that were cut to length (sold by the metre) or were modified (custom-made), for example a splice.
     
  • Upon safe receipt at our premises and inspection for condition, a refund will be made for the purchase price of the individual item less a 15% re-stocking fee. (If ordering a replacement product we usually waive the re-stocking fee).
     
  • Delivery charges will not be refunded.

2mm Burnt Orange Braided Polypropylene Multicord – 200m Reel

This 2mm Burnt Orange Polypropylene Multicord is a lightweight, flexible cord with a neat braided construction, supplied on a plastic 200m reel for easy handling and storage.

Made from multifilament polypropylene, it has a 16-plait construction with no central core. This gives the multicord a soft, flexible feel while retaining good strength for its size, making it easy to handle, knot and tie.

Polypropylene is naturally water-resistant and this cord floats on water, making it suitable for a wide range of indoor and outdoor applications. It also has good resistance to UV light and abrasion, so it is a practical choice where the cord needs to cope with regular handling or outdoor conditions.

Having discovered Ropes Direct from an online search and social media, it was a real pleasure working with their wonderful staff to achieve the vision to complete our new decking rails.

The website provides detailed information and advice, so we decided to order the 32mm synthetic hemp rope and 32mm matt black rope end cups/plates.

We sent an email with our initial measurements and quickly received a phone call to talk us through how we could more accurately re-measure and calculate the swag we wished to achieve. We were also delighted to learn that Ropes Direct could fit the rope ends for us, for a very reasonable charge, so all that we would be required to do was to screw the fittings into the posts.
After placing our order we promptly received confirmation and our invoice. We then received an email 4 days later, advising that our order was on its way and provided tracking information.
We received our order promptly and found the items to be well packaged and each rope clearly labelled. We were impressed with the quality of the items received, which looked as pictured on the website, but still exceeded expectation.
We are thrilled with the finished results and are happy to share our experience and photographs of our rope barrier in situ.
