Please use this option to add a soft splice, loop splice or eye splice into your 3-strand rope (28mm to 32mm diameters). A soft splice is achieved by looping the rope back on itself and then interweaving the strands to create a secure join.

Delivery and Shipping

We operate a very quick turnaround, from the moment you place an order to getting it on board a fast and reliable courier service. They deliver direct to your home or workplace.

NEXT WORKING DAY: Customers in mainland UK (excluding Islands and Scottish Highlands) will usually enjoy next working day delivery on orders placed before midday. When it is really busy the delivery timescale might be 1-2 working days. For heavy items
(over 30kg) the delivery can take a little longer.

COLLECT FROM WAREHOUSE. Order online, choose the collect delivery option and we will email you when ready. Usually within 24 hours.

Returns

Returns are by prior agreement

  • Please email us in the first instance with your details and the product you wish to return.
     
  • We can only consider items that have been sold within the last 30 days and in perfect (re-saleable) condition.
     
  • We regret we cannot accept items that were cut to length (sold by the metre) or were modified (custom-made), for example a splice.
     
  • Upon safe receipt at our premises and inspection for condition, a refund will be made for the purchase price of the individual item less a 15% re-stocking fee. (If ordering a replacement product we usually waive the re-stocking fee).
     
  • Delivery charges will not be refunded.

Description

Please use this option to add a soft splice, loop splice or eye splice into your 3-strand rope (28mm to 32mm diameters).

A soft splice is achieved by looping the rope back on itself and then interweaving the strands to create a secure join. This is the strongest way of introducing an eye into a rope - for example to hang on garden posts or to suspend from a tree branch.

Please use the quantity box to enter the number of soft splices you would like. You can add any specific instructions in the 'additional comments' box at the Checkout.

By the way, splicing is not too hard to do. If you would prefer to DIY then watch our instructional video here. We suggest you have a go on some old rope first (10-16mm is nice to work with).

Spliced decking rope

I ordered a length of rope to use as fence between two front gardens. I cannot fault the quality of the rope, splice (which finishes the rope off perfectly) or service. The website was easy to. I ordered over the Easter weekend and the rope arrived by Wednesday. I would not hesitate to recommend Ropes Direct and would certainly use them again. Very reasonably priced too. Thank you.

Does what it says on the tin

The soft eye splice was exactly what I was looking for, and having been at a nautical college many decades ago, I can fully attest that it has been properly constructed, sadly something I could no longer do.

Well worth the small amount extra for a permanent loop in the rope.

First class experience from start to finish! One weekend I had a little project in my mind's eye for my garden with posts, solar lights and ropes, but I know nothing about ropes. I did a bit of research and found the Ropes Direct website clear and helpful, however I baulked a bit about cutting the rope and adding hooks myself (the video showed the use of a blowtorch). I sent an online query and less than 20 minutes after opening for business on the Monday I had a detailed quote, and an offer to cut the rope and fit the hooks for a very reasonable charge. I also received valuable advice about the "drape" I required. Within 24 hours the ropes, hooks and eyes were delivered! Very impressed with the website, quality of product and particularly the customer service from start to finish. I have no hesitation about recommending Ropes Direct.
