Pair of replacement swing ropes made from hard-wearing 20mm synthetic hemp rope, complete with professionally spliced eye loops and tails.

Offering the classic look of traditional hemp with improved weather resistance and durability, these ropes are ideal for replacing worn or damaged garden swing ropes.

Each pair is made in our Norfolk workshop using quality materials and traditional rope splicing techniques.

Standard ropes are approximately 2.5m long. Longer lengths can be made to order – simply follow the measuring and ordering instructions in the main description below.

Delivery and Shipping

We operate a very quick turnaround, from the moment you place an order to getting it on board a fast and reliable courier service. They deliver direct to your home or workplace.

NEXT WORKING DAY: Customers in mainland UK (excluding Islands and Scottish Highlands) will usually enjoy next working day delivery on orders placed before midday. When it is really busy the delivery timescale might be 1-2 working days. For heavy items
(over 30kg) the delivery can take a little longer.

COLLECT FROM WAREHOUSE. Order online, choose the collect delivery option and we will email you when ready. Usually within 24 hours.

Returns

Returns are by prior agreement

  • Please email us in the first instance with your details and the product you wish to return.
     
  • We can only consider items that have been sold within the last 30 days and in perfect (re-saleable) condition.
     
  • We regret we cannot accept items that were cut to length (sold by the metre) or were modified (custom-made), for example a splice.
     
  • Upon safe receipt at our premises and inspection for condition, a refund will be made for the purchase price of the individual item less a 15% re-stocking fee. (If ordering a replacement product we usually waive the re-stocking fee).
     
  • Delivery charges will not be refunded.

Description

Pair of heavier duty replacement swing ropes for you to repair an old swing or make your own new one - the holes in your swing seat will need to be 22mm/24mm.

The rope used is a 20mm Synthetic Hemp rope chosen for it's soft feel and natural appearance. Traditional splices by the fair hand of our own rope craftsmen have been used for the top soft splice and the tail join. The rope will not rot and is UV stabilised, so should give many years of trouble free use. As with all ropes though, it should be inspected every now and again for condition.

The pair of 20mm Synthetic Hemp ropes have an overall length of 2.5m with the tail section taking up 1m. Please note that these measurements are approximate and can vary slightly.

If you would like longer ropes than the 2.5m provided, simply purchase two more additional lengths of the 20mm synthetic hemp rope and when checking out put a note in the 'delivery notes or comments'. Please note that you only need to purchase the additional lengths required. For example, for a swing with ropes of 4m long you will need to purchase an extra 2 x 1.5m = 3m of rope.

We have a very experienced and efficient rope team and the ropes will normally be despatched the day after order but in busy periods it might be a day or two later.

First class experience from start to finish! One weekend I had a little project in my mind's eye for my garden with posts, solar lights and ropes, but I know nothing about ropes. I did a bit of research and found the Ropes Direct website clear and helpful, however I baulked a bit about cutting the rope and adding hooks myself (the video showed the use of a blowtorch).
