Delivery and Shipping

We operate a very quick turnaround, from the moment you place an order to getting it on board a fast and reliable courier service. They deliver direct to your home or workplace.

NEXT WORKING DAY: Customers in mainland UK (excluding Islands and Scottish Highlands) will usually enjoy next working day delivery on orders placed before midday. When it is really busy the delivery timescale might be 1-2 working days. For heavy items
(over 30kg) the delivery can take a little longer.

COLLECT FROM WAREHOUSE. Order online, choose the collect delivery option and we will email you when ready. Usually within 24 hours.

Returns

Returns are by prior agreement

  • Please email us in the first instance with your details and the product you wish to return.
     
  • We can only consider items that have been sold within the last 30 days and in perfect (re-saleable) condition.
     
  • We regret we cannot accept items that were cut to length (sold by the metre) or were modified (custom-made), for example a splice.
     
  • Upon safe receipt at our premises and inspection for condition, a refund will be made for the purchase price of the individual item less a 15% re-stocking fee. (If ordering a replacement product we usually waive the re-stocking fee).
     
  • Delivery charges will not be refunded.

6mm x 220m reel Synthetic Hemp Rope

Synthetic Hemp is one of our most popular ropes – and with good reason.

It looks and feels like a natural hemp rope but is actually made from spun polypropylene. So not only is it soft, flexible and looks like a 'traditional' natural rope, it is weatherproof, stronger and more durable. It won’t swell or shrink when wet, it floats on water, it’s easier on the skin than natural hemp and demonstrates excellent UV resistance.

Synthetic Hemp is recommended for indoors and outdoors use.

This 6mm rope, on a handy 220m reel, is perfect for plant supports, garden construction projects, tying down loads, using as a soft edge on woodwork etc.

We also offer Synthetic Hemp rope on great value discount coils or by the metre, and we  offer spliced ends to help you finish the job.

We only sell the highest quality Synthetic Hemp rope, and because we’re online we can keep our prices low. We specialise in fast delivery so orders placed before 12 noon on a weekday will usually arrive the next day in most parts of the UK.

Great value rope

I have bought several reels of this rope in recent years. It is good value and great quality too. I use it as support rope for all my canvas tents (in place of the inferior rope that is often supplied) and I also use it as an arena barrier wound round plastic stakes for public events. It does not stretch or shrink when wet and is just the right thickness and weight for the job.

First class experience from start to finish! One weekend I had a little project in my mind's eye for my garden with posts, solar lights and ropes, but I know nothing about ropes. I did a bit of research and found the Ropes Direct website clear and helpful, however I baulked a bit about cutting the rope and adding hooks myself (the video showed the use of a blowtorch). I sent an online query and less than 20 minutes after opening for business on the Monday I had a detailed quote, and an offer to cut the rope and fit the hooks for a very reasonable charge. I also received valuable advice about the "drape" I required. Within 24 hours the ropes, hooks and eyes were delivered! Very impressed with the website, quality of product and particularly the customer service from start to finish. I have no hesitation about recommending Ropes Direct.
