Kingfisher Evolution Breeze is a lightweight 4mm dinghy rope designed for continuous control lines and endless splices.

Its hard-wearing Polyester and Technora® cover provides excellent abrasion resistance, with a lightweight multifilament Polypropylene core.

One continuous length: Use the quantity box to tell us the length you need in full metres and we'll supply it as one continuous piece (maximum 100m).

Multiple lengths: Enter the total length required in the quantity box, then use the "Add Order Note" in your cart to tell us how many pieces and the lengths you'd like.

Delivery and Shipping

We operate a very quick turnaround, from the moment you place an order to getting it on board a fast and reliable courier service. They deliver direct to your home or workplace.

NEXT WORKING DAY: Customers in mainland UK (excluding Islands and Scottish Highlands) will usually enjoy next working day delivery on orders placed before midday. When it is really busy the delivery timescale might be 1-2 working days. For heavy items
(over 30kg) the delivery can take a little longer.

COLLECT FROM WAREHOUSE. Order online, choose the collect delivery option and we will email you when ready. Usually within 24 hours.

Returns

Returns are by prior agreement

  • Please email us in the first instance with your details and the product you wish to return.
     
  • We can only consider items that have been sold within the last 30 days and in perfect (re-saleable) condition.
     
  • We regret we cannot accept items that were cut to length (sold by the metre) or were modified (custom-made), for example a splice.
     
  • Upon safe receipt at our premises and inspection for condition, a refund will be made for the purchase price of the individual item less a 15% re-stocking fee. (If ordering a replacement product we usually waive the re-stocking fee).
     
  • Delivery charges will not be refunded.

4mm Kingfisher Evolution Breeze – by the metre

Evolution Breeze is a specialist dinghy rope designed primarily for continuous or endless control lines, as well as lightweight halyard applications. Unlike most braided ropes, the strength comes from the outer cover, allowing the Polypropylene core to be removed when forming an endless splice.

Ideal for:

  • Continuous and endless control lines

  • Dinghy sail and rig adjustment systems

  • Lightweight halyards

  • Control lines requiring frequent movement through blocks

  • Spliced control systems where a continuous loop is required

Key characteristics:

  • 4mm diameter

  • Minimum break strength: 580kg

  • Lightweight multifilament Polypropylene core

  • Polyester and Technora® outer cover

  • Strength carried by the outer cover

  • Excellent abrasion resistance

  • Designed for forming endless splices

  • Available in Blue, Red and Yellow

Splicing: When forming an endless loop, the core is removed from the splice area and the two ends are joined using the outer cover. A Fixed F10 D-Splicer is recommended for splicing this 4mm rope.

Having discovered Ropes Direct from an online search and social media, it was a real pleasure working with their wonderful staff to achieve the vision to complete our new decking rails.

The website provides detailed information and advice, so we decided to order the 32mm synthetic hemp rope and 32mm matt black rope end cups/plates.

We sent an email with our initial measurements and quickly received a phone call to talk us through how we could more accurately re-measure and calculate the swag we wished to achieve. We were also delighted to learn that Ropes Direct could fit the rope ends for us, for a very reasonable charge, so all that we would be required to do was to screw the fittings into the posts.
After placing our order we promptly received confirmation and our invoice. We then received an email 4 days later, advising that our order was on its way and provided tracking information.
We received our order promptly and found the items to be well packaged and each rope clearly labelled. We were impressed with the quality of the items received, which looked as pictured on the website, but still exceeded expectation.
We are thrilled with the finished results and are happy to share our experience and photographs of our rope barrier in situ.
