Our Synthetic Sisal rope is made from polysteel fibres – a blend of polypropylene and polyethylene, making it stronger and tougher than regular polypropylene.

It resembles sisal to look at, but this is a synthetic rope engineered for anything from garden decking to marquees and even at sea. It is smooth, long lasting and flexible.

One piece of rope: Use the quantity box to let us know the length you require in full metres and we will send you one continuous length (max 220m).

Multiple pieces: Enter the total length in full metres in the quantity box. Then tell us the number and lengths you require using the "Add Order Note" in your cart.

This rope comes with both ends heat sealed as standard. If you would like to have them soft spliced or hard spliced please visit our 'rope end finishes' category.

Delivery and Shipping

We operate a very quick turnaround, from the moment you place an order to getting it on board a fast and reliable courier service. They deliver direct to your home or workplace.

NEXT WORKING DAY: Customers in mainland UK (excluding Islands and Scottish Highlands) will usually enjoy next working day delivery on orders placed before midday. When it is really busy the delivery timescale might be 1-2 working days. For heavy items
(over 30kg) the delivery can take a little longer.

COLLECT FROM WAREHOUSE. Order online, choose the collect delivery option and we will email you when ready. Usually within 24 hours.

Returns

Returns are by prior agreement

  • Please email us in the first instance with your details and the product you wish to return.
     
  • We can only consider items that have been sold within the last 30 days and in perfect (re-saleable) condition.
     
  • We regret we cannot accept items that were cut to length (sold by the metre) or were modified (custom-made), for example a splice.
     
  • Upon safe receipt at our premises and inspection for condition, a refund will be made for the purchase price of the individual item less a 15% re-stocking fee. (If ordering a replacement product we usually waive the re-stocking fee).
     
  • Delivery charges will not be refunded.

Description

24mm Synthetic Sisal rope sold cut to length (maximum continuous length 220 metres).

Our Synthetic Sisal rope is part of the Polysteel family, made from a mix of polypropylene and polyethylene for super strength and endurance.

Polysteel fibres are around 25% stronger than polypropylene. So this rope is tough, durable and will not shrink or rot. It is also UV stabilised, making it an excellent long-lasting rope for outdoor use.

It is smooth to the touch, light brown in colour and is made to look like a natural sisal rope, although a lot less hairy!

Ideal for garden decking, rope handrails, landscaping and supporting climbing plants. Its strength also makes it suitable for demanding marine, agricultural and industrial applications where a superior product is demanded.

If you search our blog articles, you will see it has been used as a mooring rope in the North Sea, to support plants and even to lash together timbers at the experimental Butser Ancient Farm.

Rope required for rustic looking swing for my daughter. Looks the part, feels great and will last years. I maybe ordered a bit thick for a rope swing but the chunkiness looks great.

Having discovered Ropes Direct from an online search and social media, it was a real pleasure working with their wonderful staff to achieve the vision to complete our new decking rails.

The website provides detailed information and advice, so we decided to order the 32mm synthetic hemp rope and 32mm matt black rope end cups/plates.

We sent an email with our initial measurements and quickly received a phone call to talk us through how we could more accurately re-measure and calculate the swag we wished to achieve. We were also delighted to learn that Ropes Direct could fit the rope ends for us, for a very reasonable charge, so all that we would be required to do was to screw the fittings into the posts.
