22mm White Staplespun Rope - 220m coil
22mm White Staplespun Polypropylene rope sold in a discount 220m coil.
Staplespun polypropylene combines the traditional appearance and feel of natural fibre rope with the durability and performance of modern synthetic materials. Manufactured from spun polypropylene fibres, it has a softer, slightly hairy finish than standard blue polypropylene rope, making it comfortable to handle and providing excellent grip in both wet and dry conditions.
It can be used as a general purpose rope because it’s great value for money and strong. But it really comes into its own with gin wheels and pulleys – for example on scaffolds, in marquees and big tops.
Staplespun rope will not rot, absorb water or become damaged by prolonged exposure to the weather. It floats on water, is resistant to mildew and many chemicals, and offers excellent abrasion resistance, making it a dependable choice for demanding working environments.
Common uses for Staplespun polypropylene rope
Staplespun rope is widely used across marine, agricultural, construction and industrial applications.

Why choose Staplespun rope?
The unique spun yarn construction gives Staplespun rope a softer, more traditional feel than ordinary polypropylene rope while retaining all the advantages of a synthetic fibre. It is lightweight, flexible and easy to knot or splice, making it popular with both professionals and DIY users.
Its excellent grip makes it particularly well suited where ropes are handled regularly, while its resistance to water and rot means it continues to perform reliably outdoors throughout the year.
What's the difference between Staplespun and standard polypropylene rope?
Although both ropes are manufactured from polypropylene and offer excellent resistance to water, rot and UV, they are designed for different purposes.
Staplespun polypropylene rope is made using short spun fibres that create a softer, more natural feel with a slightly hairy finish. This gives the rope excellent grip, makes it more comfortable to handle and gives it the appearance of a traditional natural fibre rope. It's a popular choice for marine, agricultural and general-purpose applications where the rope is handled regularly.
Standard polypropylene rope is manufactured from smooth continuous fibres, resulting in a shinier and smoother finish.
Both ropes float, resist rot and perform well outdoors, so the best choice comes down to how the rope will be used. If you want a softer, easier-to-handle rope with a traditional appearance, Staplespun is the better option. If you're looking for an equally hard-wearing, low-cost utility rope, our standard blue polyprop remains an excellent choice.
