Delivery and Shipping

We operate a very quick turnaround, from the moment you place an order to getting it on board a fast and reliable courier service. They deliver direct to your home or workplace.

NEXT WORKING DAY: Customers in mainland UK (excluding Islands and Scottish Highlands) will usually enjoy next working day delivery on orders placed before midday. When it is really busy the delivery timescale might be 1-2 working days. For heavy items
(over 30kg) the delivery can take a little longer.

COLLECT FROM WAREHOUSE. Order online, choose the collect delivery option and we will email you when ready. Usually within 24 hours.

Returns

Returns are by prior agreement

  • Please email us in the first instance with your details and the product you wish to return.
     
  • We can only consider items that have been sold within the last 30 days and in perfect (re-saleable) condition.
     
  • We regret we cannot accept items that were cut to length (sold by the metre) or were modified (custom-made), for example a splice.
     
  • Upon safe receipt at our premises and inspection for condition, a refund will be made for the purchase price of the individual item less a 15% re-stocking fee. (If ordering a replacement product we usually waive the re-stocking fee).
     
  • Delivery charges will not be refunded.

Our blue Polypropylene rope is a best seller because it is strong, versatile and great value for money. It’s a ‘go-to’ general-purpose rope used by businesses, gardeners, builders, foresters, farmers, and many more.

People sometimes call it “blue rope” or “nylon rope”. But whatever you call it, blue polyprop flies out of our warehouse.

Our 20mm is typically used for:

  • building and construction
  • lightweight barriers
  • swings
  • lakes and pools
  • boating

Characteristics

Polypropylene Rope is strong, lightweight, easy to handle, easy to splice and holds knots well. It is rot-proof and resistant to UV, acids and alkalis. It floats on water and will retain its integrity and shape whilst wet.

We also sell our blue rope in a range of other diameters, on easy-to-handle reels and in discount bulk coils.

First class experience from start to finish! One weekend I had a little project in my mind's eye for my garden with posts, solar lights and ropes, but I know nothing about ropes. I did a bit of research and found the Ropes Direct website clear and helpful, however I baulked a bit about cutting the rope and adding hooks myself (the video showed the use of a blowtorch). I sent an online query and less than 20 minutes after opening for business on the Monday I had a detailed quote, and an offer to cut the rope and fit the hooks for a very reasonable charge. I also received valuable advice about the "drape" I required. Within 24 hours the ropes, hooks and eyes were delivered! Very impressed with the website, quality of product and particularly the customer service from start to finish. I have no hesitation about recommending Ropes Direct.
