Delivery and Shipping

We operate a very quick turnaround, from the moment you place an order to getting it on board a fast and reliable courier service. They deliver direct to your home or workplace.

NEXT WORKING DAY: Customers in mainland UK (excluding Islands and Scottish Highlands) will usually enjoy next working day delivery on orders placed before midday. When it is really busy the delivery timescale might be 1-2 working days. For heavy items
(over 30kg) the delivery can take a little longer.

COLLECT FROM WAREHOUSE. Order online, choose the collect delivery option and we will email you when ready. Usually within 24 hours.

Returns

Returns are by prior agreement

  • Please email us in the first instance with your details and the product you wish to return.
     
  • We can only consider items that have been sold within the last 30 days and in perfect (re-saleable) condition.
     
  • We regret we cannot accept items that were cut to length (sold by the metre) or were modified (custom-made), for example a splice.
     
  • Upon safe receipt at our premises and inspection for condition, a refund will be made for the purchase price of the individual item less a 15% re-stocking fee. (If ordering a replacement product we usually waive the re-stocking fee).
     
  • Delivery charges will not be refunded.

12mm x 30m coil of blue Polypropylene Rope

Our blue Polypropylene Rope is a best seller! It is strong, versatile and great value for money. A ‘go-to’ general-purpose rope used in gardens, woodland and parks, on building sites and in industrial plants.

Buying this handy 30m coil is cheaper than the same length ‘by the metre’. We also sell a 220m coil.

People sometimes call it “blue rope” or “nylon rope”. But whatever you call it, blue polyprop flies out of our warehouse. 

Our 12mm is typically used for:

  • building and construction
  • heavy duty draw cord
  • holding down tarpaulins
  • securing loads and luggage
  • barriers
  • roping off areas
  • swings

Characteristics

Polypropylene Rope is strong, lightweight, easy to handle, easy to splice and holds knots well. It is rot-proof and resistant to UV, acids and alkalis. It floats on water and will retain its integrity and shape whilst wet.

Very versatile rope...

I ordered a 30 metre coil of 12 mm blue polypropylene rope from Rope Direct. It was delivered very promptly and I found it to be excellent value and a first class product. I have used rope identical to this as mooring line for my boat for the past nine years. It is a very tough, strong, long lasting rope ideally suited to marine moorings.

Handy rope

Quick delivery and already used to lower light branches for tree work. This simple 12mm rope can take a lot of weight as specified. Also got soaked and dried quickly in the breeze when flaked. Just a handy additional kit.

First class experience from start to finish! One weekend I had a little project in my mind's eye for my garden with posts, solar lights and ropes, but I know nothing about ropes. I did a bit of research and found the Ropes Direct website clear and helpful, however I baulked a bit about cutting the rope and adding hooks myself (the video showed the use of a blowtorch). I sent an online query and less than 20 minutes after opening for business on the Monday I had a detailed quote, and an offer to cut the rope and fit the hooks for a very reasonable charge. I also received valuable advice about the "drape" I required. Within 24 hours the ropes, hooks and eyes were delivered! Very impressed with the website, quality of product and particularly the customer service from start to finish. I have no hesitation about recommending Ropes Direct.
