We currently offer static (LSK) ropes in two popular diameters:
These can be supplied in bulk on 100 or 200m reels or by the metre. And you can choose from a variety of colours, including red, white, blue, blue fleck, neon black and black.
Both our 10.5mm and 11mm static ropes benefit from a ‘kernmantle’ construction. The interior core (i.e. the kern) is made from Polyamide/Nylon, protected by a 32-plait sheath (i.e. the mantle) made from Polyester. As a result, they demonstrate a wide range of useful properties. For example, they are:
As a low stretch kernmantle rope, they are also CE certified and manufactured to comply with EN1891, which means they are suitable for a wide range of rope access applications including rescue lines, controlled descents, cave exploration, industrial access, abseiling, canyoning and more.
However, please note, our static ropes MUST ALWAYS BE USED WITH APPROPRIATE SAFETY EQUIPMENT, BY PEOPLE WHO ARE COMPETENT AND TRAINED TO DO SO SAFELY.
RopesDirect cannot offer safety advice on the operational use of static ropes. But we have a product information sheet which summarises the information provided by our suppliers, including their advice on storage, transportation, cleaning, anchorage, product life etc. Be sure to take a look and ensure you are fully informed before purchasing and using these ropes.
