, we handily list both our

and their corresponding
rope fittings
, on the
of our online store. Which makes it easier to pick up everything you need at the same time! Why not take a look? Add a few decking rope fittings to your order and ensure your new decking rope fence or handrail looks, and performs, at its absolute best.
A comprehensive range of brass rope fittings
All of our
rope end fittings
come in six popular finishes:
- antique brass
- black nickel
- glossy chrome
- matt black
- polished brass
- satin chrome
So whatever aesthetic you’d like to achieve – and whether you’re pairing the fittings with a synthetic or natural fibre decking rope – you’re sure to find a suitable style. We stock several different types, each one designed to perform a slightly different function. These include:
1. Rope end cups
These are the ideal way to terminate your decking rope and attach it to a wooden post (or similar). Thanks to their open cylindrical design, the rope can simply be pushed into the fitting and secured with the cross screw provided – then affixed to the wood using three screws.
2. Hooks and eye plates
Ideal not just for garden projects, but also for queueing and barrier control. This duo of
rope fittings
is designed to allow a section of the decking rope to be opened and closed, as required. They’re available to buy separately and there are two hook options to choose from: trigger hooks and open hooks.
3. Centre brackets
Centre brackets are a quick and easy alternative to drilling holes in your wooden posts. Rather than threading the rope through the post itself, the
brass rope fitting
can simply be attached to the side – and the rope threaded through the hoop instead. It speeds things up, whilst helping to avoid any mistakes, and creates a more stylish and elegant finish.
4. Cap ends
All of our decking ropes come either heat sealed or bound with PVC tape as standard. But if you’d prefer something a little neater, cap ends are an ideal way to terminate your rope and enhance its appearance.

Which size will I need?
Ultimately, this will depend on the size of the decking rope you have chosen. For most home projects, we recommend 24cm – 36cm for the rope itself – coupled with decking rope fittings of the same diameter. The most popular sizes are listed in our ‘
’ range. But if you’re looking for something bigger or smaller, a wider range of widths can be found in our
,
and
categories – with the corresponding brassware for each size in our ‘
’ section.
