Egg baskets using Jute rope from RopesDirect

Crafty idea at Mother Shipton’s

Thank you to our friends at Mother Shipton’s, the family tourist attraction near Knaresborough in Yorkshire, for sending us photos of our jute rope in action.

Their fun dilemma was how to hang Easter Egg in baskets from trees in their park.

We suggested using our 4-strand natural Jute Rope. They threaded the rope through the basket weave and created some simple handles. Job done. A cheap and effective Easter Egg suspension for a bit of Bank Holiday family fun!

Any of our ropes would have easily been strong enough for a job like this. But this is a children’s park and there could be absolutely no question whatsoever when it comes to safety. So they chose 16mm Jute which has a polypropylene core for added strength. There was no way an egg basket was going to do anything else but swing safely from the branch!

By the way if you’re in the Yorkshire area, maybe you live there or are on holiday, why not pop in to Mother Shipton’s?  You will find it at High Bridge – postcode HG5 8DD – within historic woodland along the River Nidd.

Mother Shipton’s Cave is the birthplace of the famous prophetess together with the Petrifying Well, England’s oldest visitor attraction. The attraction tells the story of Mother Shipton and the waters which turn objects to stone.
