Decking rope for garden decking project

Decking – the no.1 home project for Easter 2021

Did you know, Easter is one of the most popular times of year for people to install new garden decking? The long bank holiday weekend offers the perfect opportunity to do so.

Four whole days off work to fit the decking, paint it and add the final touches.

RopesDirect is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of high-quality decking ropes – and we have plenty of stock available and ready to be delivered in time for the Easter weekend. Whether you’re a homeowner eager to embark on a DIY decking project or a fence contractor with a diary full of jobs, we can provide the materials you need. And here we list just a few of the reasons why you should shop with us.

3 reasons to shop with us for decking and fencing rope

  1. Huge stock

As part of our ‘decking and fencing’ range, we currently offer three types of rope: jute, synthetic hemp and manilla. These come in a variety of diameters (from 24-65mm) and can be sold by the metre – which means, it’s possible to purchase just enough for your home garden project.

If (as a contractor) you require decking rope in bulk quantities, we also stock jute, synthetic hemp and manilla in large 220m reels. Again, these are supplied in a range of diameters.

All of our decking and fencing ropes are of superior quality (manufactured by a trusted overseas partner) yet affordably priced. And with such a huge range of stock to choose from, you’re bound to find a product that suits your specific decking requirements and preferences.

  1. Expert advice

By no means are we experts in garden decking. But we do know our products like the back of our hand and understand the main properties and features of all of our decking and fencing ropes.

Typically, to create a rope balustrade or rope fencing for decking, we recommend synthetic hemp. This both looks great in the garden and will successfully resist the outdoor elements. But in some scenarios (e.g. when budget is a priority), jute or manilla rope may be the better option. We always advise drilling holes significantly larger than the diameter – for example a 32mm rope might need a 36mm hole to pass through. This is because rope diameters can vary ever so slightly. Therefore, if you’re a DIY decker unsure of the right product – or a fence contractor using decking rope for the first time – take a look at our website. There’s plenty of information to help you make the right choice. We’re always happy to help and advise on the ideal rope for your needs.

  1. Fast delivery

We offer a very quick turnaround from the point of ordering to despatch.

This is regardless of the size of your order. Whether you’re a contractor stocking up on reels of synthetic hemp, or just need a few metres of jute for your DIY project, orders placed before 12pm can usually be delivered to a mainland UK address on the next working day.

Which means, there’s still plenty of time to get organised for your Easter decking project.
