Polished Brass Rope End Cup / Plate for attaching a 28mm rope to a wooden post or similar. It comes with a cross screw to secure the rope in place, and 3 attaching screws.

The backing plate has a diameter of 57mm.

This solid brass end fitting enhances the appearance of your rope and also helps to prolong its life.

Whilst it is most suited for use with a 28mm rope it will fit smaller diameters. We would suggest tightly wrapping the end of the rope with tape to build it up to a snug fit.

When used with a natural fibre rope (especially Manila) you should consider using a fitting size up from the rope. Natural fibre ropes can sometimes measure generously.

Often used with:

  • Handrail rope
  • Barrier rope
  • Stair rope
  • Crowd control rope
  • Decking rope
  • Newel posts

This is part of our wide range of brass fittings for you to choose from.

Good quality brass fitting

This provided a neat end to the handrail rope which is attached to the studio wall. Being a belt and braces man I replaced the screws supplied with longer ones to go further into the cob wall. I didn’t think until I’d got the securing bolt through the rope that it would have been a lot easier if I’d heated up a nail first and pushed it through the polypropylene rope to create a hole.Charles Francis (Aug 14 2020, 20:08 pm)
