Very impressed with Ropes Direct I called for advice on ordering on line just to make sure I got the correct amount required. The guys were very helpful, I ordered on line on the Friday as then called to ask if it could be delivered Monday as it was required Tuesday, the package turned up at 9.30am Monday morning great service would highly recommend.

I discovered this company when needing cotton cord and was really impressed with the help I received on the phone and the cord when it arrived very promptly. So when needing natural fibre garden twine I sought Ropes Direct out again, once again really helpful I bought natural jute garden string and medium flax twine. It arrived the very next day! I think just looking at the web site is really interesting and I would love to find a need for many of the other specialist products. Top company!

My string arrived 2 days after ordering and was just what I needed.
6mm cotton rope by the metre
Packed neatly and delivered with in 24h of being processed. The rope was a little bit more stiff than I expected but worked brilliant for what I wanted it (macrame wall hanging).

Of the materials ordered, all were as described:
The green lorry rope was as I expected for a very cheap polypropylene rope, but perfectly adequate for the job
I like the synthetic cotton, apart from a slight sheen it is visually very similar to natural cotton and has the advantage of being slightly harder-laid.
The natural cotton is a little too softly laid for my preference, as was a reel of 12mm cotton which I bought from you some while ago.
I would always like to see cable-laid cotton, rather than plain- or rope- laid, in about 12mm diameter, but as far as I know it has not been made for many years.
The fids are well-made, however I would have preferred the small fid to have been a little more pointed; I think the end is too rounded for some work. I have one that is pointed, but it is not near to hand.

I live in Cyprus and, as a friend is coming here for Christmas, I asked you to deliver to her in England and she will forward it. I will not receive it until December so I cannot rate the product but if it proves to be as good as your admin and not so bad as your international shipping costs, then I will be a happy bunny..
