Manila Rope
Manila rope sold by the metre, reel and coil
Manila rope is made using fibres obtained from the leaves of the abacá (Musa textilis) plant. The name refers to the capital of the Philippines, one of the main producers of abacá.
Manila rope is very durable, flexible and is especially resistant to sunlight. Manila ropes shrink when they become wet and whilst this might be advantageous under certain circumstances, it should be taken into account.
Manila rope uses include:
- Garden Handrails and Fencing
- Garden Decking
- Lawn Edging
- Swings & Climbing
- Tug of War Rope (32mm)
